2021 Sangiovese
This fresh resonant Sangiovese has a compelling almost Burgundian aromatic profile showing bright cherry, stemminess and spicey intrigue. In the mouth, the wine comes in balanced and silky but then builds to show some sneaky tannin that is typical of a young Brunello. Flavors show a pleasing range of black raspberry and cherry, dried herb, leather, subtle caramel and a hint of cranberry. Give it a couple of years and it will be a ringer for an old world sangiovese.
