This year's series of Summit Circle member events kicked off with a blind tasting of some of the world's most esteemed merlot and cabernet franc blends, those from the Right-Bank Bordeaux appellations of Pomerol and Saint Emilion, pitted up against some of the finest examples of merlot and cabernet franc from our PMV estate vineyards. After providing some context for each region, Steve went all out, pouring sixteen wines from the 1990s to 2016, all tasted blind, in four flights of four wines each. Over lunch, there was much discussion about who liked which wines best, but in the end, while everyone was delighted to have tasted some incredible old-world wines, the Pride wines were chosen as the winners of the day.
