Steve Pride came up with the idea to invite a talented chef to create a multi-course menu that would feature a variety of tastes (spicy, savory, umami, sweet, etc.) and to pair each course with a selection of three wines. The wines would then be tasted along with their paired course and a discussion would ensue as to what made for the most interesting pairing. On the evening of Saturday, July 20, thirty-six Summit Circle members joined us to bring Steve's idea to life and the evening was a huge success! As usual, there were some remarkable wines, both new world and old, and Chef Gary Penir rose to the occasion, providing an outstanding and beautifully executed menu. Don't be surprised if you see a repeat on next year's members-only event list - this one's a keeper!
